A mashup of “Macho Man” and the “Meow Mix” theme was to be used to market the new cat food aimed at men who owned cats but were worried about appearing effeminate. The campaign was cut short and the discs destroyed after the creative director was shown a Venn Diagram of the Village People, “Macho Man,” and the concept of irony.
