Recognize this building?
This was, until recently, the location of the Hartford Public Library’s Park Street branch. Who knew the space actually had windows?! It’s amazing how a fresh coat of paint and exposing the windows is all it took to make the space seem larger, less depressing, and more inviting.
As they say, the greenest building is one that already exists.

Still, I loved that branch.

They crammed a lot of materials into that tiny space!

Where is the library now? Did they build a new Park St. branch and I missed it living out of town. It is such a cute building.

The new Park branch is built on the site where the Lyric Theater was, at Broad and Park. It’s not open yet. They only saved a sliver of the theater’s facade. Such a shame!

Oh thanks. Glad to hear that project got off the ground. I will have to take a trip into town one of these days. I still haven’t got a chance to visit the Key Foods or Parkville Market. That area was my old stumping grounds for 15 years. I must admit I do miss it. One of the most coinvent places I have ever lived carless.
Be well Keri. New project, Dr. Alan L. Hart, if you get a chance check him out.
