While wandering/going to work/running errands, I’m not actively thinking “I need to take pictures of people,” but I am considering plenty of other things.

Like, do people realize that where the private pond (below) exists today used to be a whole block filled with homes? Unless you spend time looking at historic maps, why would you know this?

And I’m thinking about things like how is it that some people (awesome people!) can manage to jog while wearing masks (see below) but there are some folks (not awesome) who can’t be bothered to wear one over nose and mouth while in the grocery store?

I’m wondering how many locals realize there is a hardware store on Park Street where they could spend their money instead of dumping it into one of the big box stores. Park Hardware has only been open in the same spot since the 1950s. On the next block is Hartford Pharmacy, which delivers.

Anyway, here are some photos to document the indisputable fact that there are people in Hartford, including in downtown on Sunday. Also: in parks, on college campuses, and just walking down the street.

Just trying to do my part to normalize the idea that people not wearing business casual garb still count as people.
