It looks like the space left vacant by Sav A Lot is about to be replaced by another grocery — this time, Key Food Supermarket. This is in the plaza at Park and Laurel Streets.

This is really good news for folks without a car in the area. When I lived at Park Place Towers I use to see lots of seniors walking to Save a lot. Everyday Miss Orange Coat would walk by and then return with her daily groceries. Even though its not Whole Foods, Stop and Shop, a Farmers Market it fills a need. This is what is important, not if one can choose from 10 different jars of jelly. Thanks for the posting.
