This is the last neighborhood for this round of In Your Neighborhood. Upper Albany neighbors Blue Hills, North East, Clay Arsenal, and Asylum Hill.

During the last round of In Your Neighborhood, we also paused in front of this former school.

“Aaron Fein Square” sounds as if it offers more than it does. Pictured above, an empty pedestal surrounded by plants is what makes up this space. No plaques or markers, if existing, were visible.

Albany Avenue is bustling, but Homestead Avenue seems desolate — with a few pockets of maintained properties. The bank, with its mowed lawn, stands out. Even if the grass were waist-high, the bank would still be noticeable — there are not many in this neighborhood.

The In Your Neighborhood series will return in a few weeks with the final round.

The purpose of this series is to show neighborhoods how they appear on a random day. The intention is neither to whitewash reality, nor to only roll in when the police tape is unfurled.
