A flyer distributed outside of the under construction Capital Grille Restaurant claims that a subcontractor was issued a stop work order by the Connecticut Department of Labor for “misrepresenting employees as independent contractors.”
Carpenters Local 43 says the subcontractor, T.J. & Son INC. “does not meet area labor standards […] including fully paying for family health benefits and pension.”
No organizers could be reached for further comment.

Subcontractor for the food service or for construction when they were building it? Isn’t the stop work order resolved for any construction, since it’s constructed now?
I’m confused. Good thing I don’t see movies anywhere besides Cinestudio these days and even that’s rare.

I just figured out that Capital Grille and the movie theater are different things.
…In case anyone cared about the above confusing comment.
