It was announced today that on top of the $150,000 of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, the proposed skatepark at Heaven has been approved to receive another $10,000 from the Tony Hawk Foundation.
While some closely involved believe construction could be completed by the end of this summer, others have suggested that such predictions are too ambitious, saying that construction beginning during the summer would be more realistic.

Congratulations on the Tony Hawk grant! The skate park will bring some much needed life to that side of downtown. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to some good people watching, excellent graffiti, and the potential for some outdoor concerts that would otherwise have passed Hartford by.
