For Frog Hollow residents and hangers-on, there is now a Facebook group “dedicated to the most vibrant and diverse neighborhood” in Hartford.

The stated purpose of it is for people to “[f]ind out about everything from neighborhood cleanups to NRZ & Blockwatch meetings to events at our local entertainment venues.” It’s an open group in which anyone can post information, photos, videos, links, documents, and events.

Currently, there’s discussion about a creative DIY way to “build a better block.” There’s also an invitation for a clean up around Billings Forge. Last weekend, residents on a different block in Frog Hollow took part in their own annual clean up; about a dozen residents pitched in over the course of three hours on Saturday morning.

This group was set up on Saturday and there are already 60 members. This could be a good space for those who feel like they find out about events after the fact, or for those who feel compelled to exchange ideas with others about how to improve upon what truly is a vibrant and diverse neighborhood.
