Elizabeth Park has some upcoming events for those of us who are stubbornly refusing to let go of the sunshine. On September 2nd, there will be a tour of the Annual Garden at 6:30 pm. The following day at the same time, there will be a Rose Garden Tour.

On the 9th and the 20th there will be a History Walking Tour at 10am; those interested in this should meet up at the information center. There will be a Full Moon Walking Tour at 7:30 on September 16th; people should gather by the Pond House.

There are three major events planned for the Riverfront. On September 6th, you can catch an evening of music called “Guitar Under the Stars,” which Daniel Salazar will be headlining. Starting at 3pm, you can catch music by Judy Handler and Mark Levesque, Randy Collins, the Ron Affif Trio, and Viva Quetzal.

On the evening of September 13th, Pilobolus will be dancing at the Riverfront beginning at 7:30. The Connecticut-based dance company is pushing 40!

While there was much ado about the cancellation of power boat racing, there will be–at least to me–a more interesting event featuring boats on September 20th from 10-5: Dragon Boat Races and Asian Festival.

All of these events are free.
