Those letters were created for an early 1956 promotional visit to the G.Fox Department Store by Jackie Gleason’s “And Awaaaaay we go!!” Honeymooners tour bus. The pictured letters accompanied a caricature of Gleason’s co-star Art Carney.
An incomplete set of letters from the “Audrey” (missing the “d”, so it spells “Aurey”)sign heralding Audrey Meadows is rumored to be tucked away in the basement of the Old State House.
Whaa? Is this true about ART or is it historical arts&science fiction? Because I believe everything I read on this blog.
