The most serious medical episode that I’ve ever had to deal with while on-the-job, thankfully (and knock on wood), was when a diabetic student needed sugar immediately. That was a little unnerving, but this was an adult student who knew exactly what she had to do. When I worked with preschool kids, we all had to get CPR and First Aid training, something I’ve been grateful not to ever need to put to use.
