Butler McCook?
It’s not Butler McCook. Keep guessing!
Ok, trying to think of a place that women would have gone to in 1976 to put the plaque. HB Stowe house?
Colt park used to have gardening and farming stuff, but did it as late as 1976?
Right…think like the women of the 70s. This isn’t necessarily at a place one thinks of when she thinks of farming or gardening.
How long should I continue to think like a woman of the 70s?
I’m still doing that.
Not Colt. Not Stowe.
Perhaps a place where a woman had begun a specific position for the first time in this state just one year earlier…
The State Capitol grounds?
Congrats! This is in front of the State Capitol, not far from the crosswalk that goes across Capitol Avenue to the State Library.
And easy to miss, considering the surrounding architecture that draws the eye upward.
Oh that woman! Totally should have guessed that. I was recently at a thing talking about women on the Superior Court.
Superior Court?
