In the last year I have seen an embarrassing amount of masks dropped all over the ground, but on Woodland Street in particular, I’ve now spotted two more alarming scenes. This most recent one is a biohazard bag sitting near a pedestrian signal at the corner of Woodland and Asylum, across from St. Francis. The more disturbing mess happened a few months ago and I did not take photos. In front of the Medical Arts Building, there was a clear garbage bag filled with medical waste, but also very bloody items strewn all over the sidewalk. This isn’t like having a candy wrapper blow out of your hand while reaching for a bus ticket. How does (presumably) more regulated trash end up where anyone can step into it?
