Time to test your observation skills!

You will have 72 hours to find as many items as possible on this list. Don’t try taking pics from inside a car — that’s boring and the photos probably won’t be good. The first person to find the most objects wins!

HOW IT WORKS AND TIPS

Charge up your phone/camera battery, put on the sunscreen and comfortable shoes, grab your water, and go wander Hartford until you find these things. Parks, cemeteries, and open spaces are probably going to be the best bet for finding things on this list, but maybe you start in your backyard? As long as you are within city limits, you’re good. Doing your exploring in the northernmost part of Keney Park (Windsor Ave or Tower Ave entrance)? Just do your best as the woods does just run into more woods that is sometimes Bloomfield and sometimes Windsor. If you find yourself in a large sand plain, congratulations, you’ve found Matianuck. That means you’re in Windsor, but while you’re there you should explore that area because it’s very cool.

  • Snap pics of clues on this list, note the locations (ex: “Goodwin Park near pond” or “Keney Park, ravine by Windsor Ave” or “wooded area between Hartford High and fire station”), and email to realhartford@gmail.com orĀ tag #CampRealHartford on Instagram — remember to do that from an unlocked/public account.
  • You have 72 hours to complete this mission, so get those results in before 6 AM on Monday, June 29, 2020.
  • Watch out for poison ivy and be responsible for your own safety. You’re not climbing Mt. Washington but there are still plenty of opportunities to get injured if you aren’t careful.
