The 41st annual Festival of Trees & Traditions runs through December 14th at the Wadsworth Atheneum.

Trees, wreaths, and other holiday-themed items created by organizations, community members, and artists are on display and available for purchase.

Events during the festival include performances by the Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus and CONNetic Dance’s The Nutcracker Suite & Spicy; appearances by a clown, and of course, Santa Claus; tours; and children’s craft activities. Various high school and college musical performances are also scheduled.


The museum hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (closed December 8 and 9). Admission prices range from $3 (members) to $13 (non-museum-member adults).  Admission is free on December 13th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
