What had been called “Rose Weekend” was only “Rose Sunday” this year, but we decided to keep with tradition and go to Elizabeth Park on both days just to make sure we did not miss a single rose.

The area around the Pond House was again accessible, after having been closed for renovations.

Handmade hypertufa garden art by the Woodward Greenhouses in Chaplin, Connecticut were among the items for sale on the rose garden lawn. Park visitors could also get information about ethnobotany, how plants are used in pharmaceuticals, the Audubon Society, and more.

Round Hill Alpacas made an appearance.

If you missed it, the roses should remain in bloom through September.
