Since the publicized theft of $40,000 from the Hartford Jazz Society bank account, fans of the free July Monday night concerts in Bushnell Park have been awaiting news of what would be happening with this season’s series.
You can go ahead and dust off your picnic basket.
The Jazz in the Park series begins on July 11th with the Haneef Nelson Quintet and Giacomo Gates Quartet. Music begins at 6pm and continues well into the evening. The last Monday night show will be on August 1st. You can see the full schedule of performers on the Hartford Jazz Society website.
