For those who want to lend their support to the library — beyond paying their overdue fines — an opportunity is approaching. June 22nd brings One Big Summer Night, the Hartford Public Library’s annual fundraising event. Last year, Julie Powell — author of Julie & Julia — was the special guest. This year, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski of Morning Joe, will be the guest speakers.
Besides the supper, entertainment, and live auction, there’s the chance to be in close proximity to Governor Malloy; he and Mrs. Malloy will be Honorary Chairpersons of this event.
