sunflowersThere’s a cornucopia of events scheduled for the 8th Annual Community Gardening Celebration slated for Saturday, September 19th. The CT Community Gardening Association event is co-hosted and held at the Watkinson School (180 Bloomfield Avenue). Author Patricia Klindienst will be the keynote speaker. There will be three breakout sessions covering a range of topics such that anyone interested in gardening should be able to find something appealing here. These topics include: edibles, facts about fertilizer, herbs, vegetable gardening 101, community garden design, beekeeping, Hartford youth and gardening, gardening in small spaces, composting on school campuses, and dealing with gardening pests. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
