The only time that I have ever even been almost arrested was at City Hall. Correction– it was at a Town Hall, and I was not doing anything illegal. Well, not exactly. I was in a youth theatre group, and because some other organization was using our rehearsal space, I thought that the Council Chambers, located in the same building, would be a good substitute space for us to do some improv. Long story short, other people in the building were not alerted to our use of the space and called the police after hearing someone threaten to burn the building down. Every cop in town rolled up. It was awesome.
So, I have high standards for the level of entertainment that I experience every time I enter City Hall.
On April 2nd, there will be a dance party in Hartford’s City Hall. Proceeds go to Hartbeat Ensemble, and the entry fee is negotiable if you’re broke. If this goes over well, there might be a monthly dance party at City Hall. Since the once-a-month Shag Frenzy is not enough to satisfy my dancing needs, y’all better show up for this.
