  • there was some wicked run-off down Sisson during the last storm and it did not look healthy
  • A writers’ group of some kind will be meeting at Real Art Ways this Monday from 6:30-8pm. People can show up to give feedback without sharing their own writing.
  • Also at Real Art Ways, the Archaeology of Wonder exhibit opening is today, from 4-7pm. I’m wondering if this is their answer to the Faith & Fortune exhibit at the Wadsworth, which I have visited multiple times.
  • The turkey sculpture at the Riverfront has flown the coop. A sign says that it’s being repaired.

  • South Whitney is still all torn up, weeks later. And yet other streets ripped up were dealt with in just a few days. This creates increased congestion, especially at the intersections of Capitol and South Whitney, and West Boulevard and South Whitney, and especially at rush hour.
  • There are no pedestrian crossing buttons directly near the Riverfront, and yet there are crosswalks and signals.
  • Too many people disregarding dog leash laws. I’ve recently seen loose pit bulls and other large dogs.
  • There are many random holes in sidewalks and streets.

  • There is a Dunkin Donuts one block away from me in one direction, and another three blocks away in the opposite. There are also redundant CVS stores three blocks west and north.
  • Saw cables dangling off the Bulkeley Bridge last weekend. Heard the bridge has been lit up. I’m assuming the two things are connected.
