For a few years now, Marla Ludwig has been raising money for Dalive, a village in Ghana. She has formed an organization, Bright Star Vision, to address the needs of people in Dalive, such as a water filtration system and a kindegarten.
On Sunday August 26, from 1-4pm, there will be a “Raise the Roof” fundraiser at The Asylum Cafe (formerly The Red Plate) to get money to literally put a roof on the Bright Star Kindegarten. Suggested donation of $20 will get you as much soda and pizza as you can eat, conversation with volunteers who have returned from Ghana & a native Ghanaian, and the chance to see photos and video of the volunteer work.
