Staying Cool

During the heat wave, the Hartford Fire Department Special Services Division will be handing out water in public places like playgrounds and bus stops from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Some places to go inside and cool off include the Hartford Public Library and cooling centers.

  • Albany Branch, 1250 Albany Avenue, Thursday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Barbour Branch, 281 Barbour Street, Thursday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Blue Hills Branch, 649 Blue Hills Avenue, Thursday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
