  • Monday Night Jazz resumes in the pavilion in Bushnell Park. Bring a blanket or lawnchair. This is a public park, so picnics, children, and dogs on leashes are all permitted. Ricky Alfonso opens at 6 p.m.  Jonathan Finlayson and Sicilian Defense follows. If it rains, this may be moved to Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue. WWUH 91.3 FM broadcasts live and will announce if the venue is moved.
  • Hartford Jazz Jam: Free jazz in Black-eyed Sally’s (across from Bushnell Park) from 8-11 p.m.
  • The Hartford Jazz Orchestra performs at 8 p.m. every Monday night at Arch Street Tavern. No cover.

  • Free yoga in Keney Park every Tuesday at 10 a.m. Meet on the lawn between the pond and Pond House off of Edgewood Street. Bring your own mat.
  • West End Farmers’ Market: every Tuesday on the Clemens Green (Farmington Avenue near Mark Twain House & Museum). 4-7 p.m.
  • The Hartford Mobile Market stops at the Boys & Girls Club (1 Nahum Drive) every Tuesday from 4:30-6 p.m. SNAP/EBT and WIC accepted for fruits and vegetables.
  • Papers screens at 7 p.m. as part of Asylum Hill Congregational Church’s Faith and Justice Film Series.The film will be followed by a discussion on immigration. Free. The venue is located at 814 Asylum Avenue.
  • Book launch of The Two-State Delusion: Israel and Palestine – A Tale of Two Narratives at the Mark Twain House & Museum. The museum along with the World Affairs Council of Connecticut “presents an evening about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. A leading reconciliation expert argues that a two-state solution is no longer a viable path to create lasting peace in Israel and Palestine.” The program begins at 7 p.m. and will include the author, Padraig O’Malley. Free. Reservations recommended.

  • Connecticut Reed Ensemble performs at 6 p.m. in the Trinity College Chapel. Free.
  • Ninah’s Dowry screens at Hartford Public Library at 6 p.m. as part of its free Global Lens Film Series.
  • The Goza Latin Band will give a free performance at 6 p.m. as part of the World of Sound series. This will be at the Hartford Public Library Dwight Branch.
  • Katie Leiby will be bringing free music to the main quad of Trinity College at 7 p.m. for the Summer Carillon Series.

  • Hanging with Harold. They say: “Hanging with Harold is not a class or a workshop. It’s not a show, either. It’s a learn-by-doing drop-in jam where Sea Tea Improv and members of the improv community (that’s you, just by showing up!) perform a kind of longform improv together known as the Harold.” This starts at 8:30 p.m. in 75 Pratt Street, Suite 500. $5.

  • Summer Sizzle Under the Stars: The Wadsworth Atheneum begins the evening at 5 p.m. with a la carte dinner (not included in price) and live music, followed by an outdoors screening of Pat and Mike at 8:15 p.m. $9 general admission.
  • Mrs. Doubtfire screens in Elizabeth Park when it’s dark. Bring a blanket or lawnchair. Free. (Why are the venues for free films so vague? Ask the City of Hartford’s MECA.)
