As has been typical of the Segarra administration, major news announcements continue to be made past the end of the typical business day. At 5:01 p.m. today, the mayor formally announced that Saundra Kee Borges, Corporation Counsel, is resigning effective January 30, 2015.
Deputy Henri Alexandre will serve as the Acting Corporation Counsel.

Friends of parks groups have memoranda of understanding with the city. That’s how they have those abilities to do things slightly greater than the general public in the parks. We’ve wanted a really simple one and sent in a request well over a year ago outlining what we’d like. Corp counsel office shuffles it around and then forgets and it. It’s very frustrating.
