UPDATE 1/22: It was not blizzardpalooza afterall. The parking ban gets lifted at 10a.m. today instead of 3p.m.

Starting at 3pm, there will be a 24-hour on-street parking ban in Hartford. You can leave your vehicles in Hartford school lots and a number of other places. According to a message from the Mayor’s Office, parking will again be available in the Morgan Street Garage.

For as long as the temperature is below 25°, South Park Inn, and the McKinney and Immaculate Conception Shelters will be open 24 hours. If you need shelter, or see someone who does, the City of Hartford is urging you to call 211 for assistance.

As for closings, basically every place has announced it will be. The Arne Duncan visit scheduled for this afternoon is said to be getting rescheduled, as is the Board of Education meeting that was supposed to take place later.
