With the deadline for school redesign plans rapidly approaching, the Chair of the Board of Education has ordered a special meeting be held on Monday evening. This will take place at the plaza-level conference room at 260 Constitution Plaza, 5pm.

Last week the Board of Education spent hours in executive session — closed to the public — to discuss the items included in the Sheff vs. O’Neill lawsuit. With a convoluted vote that eventually resulted in dropping the SAND/Perry issue (for the time being) the other line items were also pushed aside. Monday’s special meeting is to look at those other issues and to better define the process of selecting which schools should be redesigned.
