Mucha Mucha Placer won this trophy for having the most pink in the Art Sled Derby which took place on Saturday in Hartford’s Elizabeth Park.

Before embarking on this ride, Mucha led the crowd in singing a rendition of “I Will Survive.”
Max Gonzalez proudly kneels by his sled, which won a trophy for “Hottest Rod.” This sled featured lights, a child’s car seat, and as it sped down the hill, released confetti. Some of this is visible in the video below.

Tony Cherolis took this chair down the hill after he towed it across town on a trailer pulled by his bicycle.
It was suggested that an entire living room suite might be featured in a future Art Sled Derby, should one occur.
Adoption of dogs was promoted by this derby entry, titled “Dog Sled.”

 

Most of the participants in the Art Sled Derby were adults, but a few youth entered the competition.
This one got a hug after successfully conquering the hill in Elizabeth Park.
There was also a yeti competing in the derby.
The yeti wiped out.

 

Hartford’s Catholic Worker team rode on separate sleds to create a dragon.
The dragon might need better reinforcements next time.
