Not to be confused with Grilled Cheese Week or Shark Week, all next week there will be activities to celebrate the parks in Hartford.

On Monday, at 5:30 in the morning, you can help spruce up Hyland Park.

On Tuesday, at a more humane hour, there will be a forum in the Center for Contemporary Culture at the Hartford Public Library. This discussion will explain what improvements have been made to the parks. 5:30-7:30pm.

In the Hartford Public Library Cafe, you can listen to what the different parks groups have been doing. This open house is from 4-6pm on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, in the Center for Contemporary Culture at the library, there will be a discussion about Frederick Law Olmsted, led by Dr. Andrew Walsh of Trinity College. This takes place from 5:30-7:30pm.

On Friday, there will be an Arbor Day planting on Myrtle and Spring Street from 9am-1pm.
