Even if the Frog Hollow group did not win a major award in the Hooker Day Parade, Saturday would have been fantastic anyway. The parade was larger than in past years, with even more random weirdness than usual.

Hartford.com describes the event as follows:

The Hooker Day Parade is hands down the weirdest, most made-up, rag-tag, cut loose, high-spirited, Mardi Gras bead and candy filled parade in Hartford. Its purpose is to celebrate ourselves; our City, our creativity and our people.

No cause. No giant message. Just fun.
