World Refugee Day
The Hartford Public Library hosted World Refugee Day on Saturday. There were vendors.
Information tables were set up for outreach to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Haiti, Pakistan, Darfur, and Ghana.
The first floor of the library became a dance floor.
There were refugees represented from many places, including Mexico, Peru, Thailand, Burma (Myanmar), Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Bangladesh, Liberia, and Somalia.
