While at the 35th Annual Russian Tea Room and Bazaar, I decided to take a tour of the recently painted iconography in the All Saints Orthodox Church.
Walking upstairs to the Church from the basement, I was instantly struck by how bright and colorful it was. I’m not exactly a church connoisseur, but most that I have been into have been very dreary.
The Church was filled with candles, which would not photograph for me. The chandelier also didn’t take well to digital.
I didn’t go there for the tour. The main attraction, for me, was the craft fair and bakery in the basement.
I found a bracelet and pair of earrings, ornaments (gifts for people), and pumpkin soap. The parking situation this year seemed far less chaotic. I don’t know if that reflects the economy, or more organized parking attendants.
