Melting Snow on Constitution Plaza
I walked downtown today solely to take pictures of things that I see during the week but don’t take photos of because that would mean being alert enough to remember to bring my camera when I leave in the morning.
Trees on Constitution Plaza

There were a lot of people downtown for one reason or another. There was a line out the door at Jo-Jo’s on Pratt, so I circled the area before trying again.
I’m not sure what street this was on…somewhere downtown that I don’t usually go. In between Asylum and Bushnell Park.

I “discovered” (much as Columbus did discovering of things that many people already knew about) a bunch of places I did not even know existed. There is a place called Fiona Stone boutique that was closed today, but looks like the perfect place to try to expensive clothes. I also found a tiny espresso bar that I drive by at least once a week but never realized was there.

I also found a spa and a gift shop.
City Place

I would have spent probably another few hours wandering around but was stupid, wore the wrong socks, and got a blister on my foot.
Ancient Burial Ground

Right next to the ancient burial ground were two other dead things on the sidewalk–batteries and a pigeon.

Looking at Trumbull Street

I also “found” a framing place that I drive by but never notice.

Pratt Street

I used to be much more observant than I am now. There are carvings on the sides of buildings I walk by, usually twice a week, and never noticed before.
